1963 Chevy Nova Coupe

Mark sent in the following photos and info on his 1963 Nova project car. He originally purchased this car for parts, however it looks to be all original with most parts.

The Chevrolet Nova started production in 1961 (as a 1962 model). Three models were originally available; the Chevy II 100, Chevy II 300 and Chevy II Nova 400. They came in all sorts of body styles including 2-door, 4-door, coupe, sedan, station wagon and convertible. The 1963 wasn't changed much from the original, with just some trim and minor mechanical improvements.

1963 Nova 4 Door Drag Racer Project

Someone started with a good idea on this '63 Nova, but just couldn't follow through. So here it sits. It's been tubbed for slicks, has a Ford 9" rear with Detroit Locker and 4 link suspension. Maybe someone will pick this gem up and finish what was started.

Oh, and the rear doors are welded shut! Someone's been watching a few too many Dukes of Hazard reruns. Yeehaaa!!!

1963 Chevy Nova SS Coupe

This cool little Nova SS has probably been someone's neglected project for some time. At least it hasn't been sitting in a field or a barn, but there's still quite a bit of rust to deal with. It's a 6 cylinder, but at least it runs!

The SS package was new for the Nova in 1963 and featured bucket seats, 14" tires, finned wheel covers, 4 gauge instrument cluster, silver rear cove and the Nova SS badging on the rear quarters.
