1970 Superbee 383 4 speed
The Dodge Coronet Superbee’s were one of those solid muscle cars that just weren’t produced in large numbers. That makes nice, clean examples like this one harder and harder to find today.
This numbers matching 383 cid 4 speed Superbee is one of only 1336 built. And it’s really in decent shape despite being neglected for a couple of decades. It’s still wearing it’s original B5 Blue paint and black vinyl top. The matching blue interior has a factory bench seat and rally dash.
Unfortunately there is some rust to deal with. It’s not obvious at first in the photos, but both rear quarters are toast as is the trunk. The front fenders could maybe be patched if the rust hasn’t spread too far. The power bulge hood is still in good shape, which is nice since they’re commanding premium pricing today.
This Superbee isn’t high on creature comforts or factory options. There’s no power steering or power brakes. It’s 4 wheel drums all the way! But it’s a cool muscle car that shouldn’t “bee” too tough to resurrect.
