1959-corvette-031963 Stingray – In storage since 1978

What a cool sight to see this great project car loaded on a trailer and on it’s way to it’s new home where it will be restored. Imagine how jealous you would be seeing this driving down the street! Someone’s got a cool new toy to take up garage space.

This ’63 Corvette Stingray has been sitting in storage since 1978! But although it might be loosely called a “barn find” it’s certainly not a “survivor”. Those 15 years it was on the road must have been pretty rough. It’s missing it’s factory original 327 cid, 300 hp engine as well as the 4-speed manual gear box. So much for a numbers matching restoration. The interior also appears to have been pretty well stripped. What were they doing to this thing in storage??? But check out the cool removable hardtop!

But luckily this Corvette has seen the light of day again and is on it’s way to a full restoration. It won’t be cheap (the $14,000 sales price for this shell wasn’t either) but it will be well worth it in the end to get a classic Corvette back on the road where it belongs!
