1959-corvette-031964 Corvette – Barn Stored for 30 years

This ’64 Vette was recently pulled out of storage after sitting for 30 years. It looks to be pretty much intact with the exception of some poor modification decisions by a previous owner. Luckily the original engine and transmission are still there, although the heads are long gone. But the block and intake are matching numbers, so that’s a start. Read the rest of this entry »

1967 Mustang Fastback 390-4V

1967 Fastback – Big Block Mustang

Now this is a pretty sad sight. It’s a factory S code 390 Mustang fastback that’s been wrecked hard in the rear and then hacked apart in the front.  1967 was the first year for a big block in the Ford Mustang. That coupled with the fastback body style makes this a very desirable muscle car.

1967 fairlane 500

390 GT Fairlane project car

Here’s a nice project for big block Ford fans. It’s a 390 GT 1967 Fairlane with a few nice factory options including front disc brakes and bucket seats. Ford redesigned the Fairlane in 1967 and gave enough room between the front fenders to stuff the FE series big block. The 390 cid was the first big block and came as either a GT or GT-A (for automatic transmission). The GT package included heavy duty suspension, engine dress up parts, a GT hood and disc brakes. Project Javelin gets a new home

The new owner of this 1970 Javelin hopes to get it back and running soon. It’s an ambitious goal since so much of this muscle car is missing, but we applaud him for trying to bring it back. The previous owner got it for parts, but just felt there was too much of the car left to scrap it. Read the rest of this entry »

70-boss-302-mustang1

Rusty and stripped, but good restoration project

Here sits one of the all time classic muscle cars, a Boss 302 Mustang, but in pretty poor condition. It’s a genuine G code Boss 302 car and has the VIN and Marti report to prove it. Unfortunately the most important parts of this car are missing, including the engine and transmission. This Mustang project car is missing pretty much all of the special Boss 302 specific items Read the rest of this entry »

1967 Firebird

Picked up for $2000

A lucky car guy picked up this ’67 Firebird for $2,000 recently at auction. It’s got rust in the usual places, but overall pretty solid. The frame rails and trunk are in particularly good shape considering how long it’s been sitting out in the South. Read the rest of this entry »

Shelby GT-500 KR sitting since 1975?

Isn’t it every car guy’s dream to find some old forgotten barn somewhere, pull a tarp back and find a jewel like this? A 1968 Shelby GT-500 KR convertible would make the ultimate barn find! But alas, this one isn’t real. Well, it’s a real barn find, but not a real Shelby. Read the rest of this entry »

1968 Firebird Convertible

400 cid Pontiac project car

This Firebird closed with zero bids on eBay recently. Probably because the seller had his reserve set at a ridiculous $15,000. Yes it’s a convertible Firebird and a desirable year at that, but there’s still a ton of work to do on this car. Read the rest of this entry »

Thanks to Bob N. for submitting these two Mercury Cougars sitting in a backyard he passed while traveling. It looks like one of those backyards that’s slowly evolving into a junk yard.

1966-dodge-charger-041967 Dodge Charger 383

Looks like this Charger has been sitting in the woods for quite a while. You feel damp and humid just looking at the photos. Lots of undergrowth, not much sun, rainy climate, covered in fallen leaves and pine needles – Perfect environment for rust to breed! Read the rest of this entry »
