1965 Pontiac GTO
This would be an excellent restoration project if the guy could ever be convinced to part with her. But apparently several attempts have been made, but he's not biting. It's supposedly been verified by PHS as a true GTO. Read the rest of this entry »

1970 'Cuda AAR in Lemon Twist
You think maybe this car has some potential? Hmmmm... maybe. Bidders at Barrett-Jackson seem to think so. This similar 1970 'Cuda recently fetched over $100,000! Read the rest of this entry »

1967 Mustang High Country Special Convertible
Well, you don't see one of these every day! Yes, yes... I know that's a bad cliche, but this is one of those rare instances where it's very true.
The High Country Special was one of the earliest factory limited edition Mustangs. Ford went pretty crazy in 1967 & 1968 with California Specials, Color of the Month Mustangs, Gold Nugget Specials, Lone Star Limited, Ski Country Specials and so on. Read the rest of this entry »

1969 Pontiac Firebird
Not a whole lot of information to go by on this Firebird. According to the owner it's a factory Orange car with a white interior. But Orange wasn't a factory color, so it looks like Matador Red (paint code 52) or maybe Burgundy (code 67) but it's hard to tell with so many years of the sun beating down on it. The motor is gone, but it still has the factory 3 speed transmission. You just have to pull it out of the trunk!
From the photos it seems the owner has a few more decent classic cars rusting away in his collection. It's really a shame when vintage and muscle cars like this just get abandoned out in a field and the owner won't part with them. They always say they're going to restore them, but year after year there they still sit.

1970 Dodge Challenger
Unfortunately this Challenger may be headed to the great Mopar showroom in the sky. It's really only good for a parts car at this point. So much has been chopped off and hacked away that it's barely holding itself together. Leaving it out in the snow to rust certainly isn't helping matters.

1968 Fastback - Minor Rust
Only one slight problem with this 1968 Mustang fastback... It seems to be RUSTED IN HALF! The owner says it spent it's life in Northern Michigan and that "this happens more than you would think." Yikes! Read the rest of this entry »

1947 Ford Deluxe 2-Door Sedan
UPDATE - MAY, 2010 - What a small world the internet has created. The very same '47 Sedan in this article was sold and the new owner has started bringing it back to life. He was actually searching the internet for parts when he stumbled across this site and found photos of his car! (see comments below)
Well, he was good enough to send some progress photos of the work he's done so far. Thanks and please keep us updated on your project! Read the rest of this entry »

1970 Plymouth Superbird Roadrunner
Recently pulled out from storage, this would be a great project to jump on. It's an original 440 4bbl car backed up by a console shift automatic. Unfortunately neither the engine or trans in it now are original. Not the easiest (or cheapest) engine to track down, but it's doable. Read the rest of this entry »

1956 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
This '56 Corvette shell and chassis has been sitting in storage for over 35 years. It was stripped in 1974 for a restoration, but as we all know sometimes real life gets in the way of our hobbies. The original 265 engine is long gone as is the rest of the drive train. No word on whether this was originally a 3 speed manual or a Powerglide automatic. Read the rest of this entry »

Three 1967-68 Mustang Fastbacks
How would you like to stumble upon this find? Not one, not two, but three classic Mustang fastbacks. Two are 1968's and one is a 1967. Having 3 shells to start with seems like a good deal at first, but as you study these neglected Muscle cars more the appeal starts to wear off. They all need the same things, so the strategy of combining into one nice project doesn't work very well. They all need serious sheet metal work, especially Read the rest of this entry »
