This car could be the twin sister to this other 1969 Mach 1 posted back in Feb. They literally could have rolled off the assembly line one after the other. They're both 351-2V cars, both Mach 1's, both built at the Metuchen, NJ Ford plant, both Silver Jade paint with gold Mach 1 side stripes.... and both sitting in a junk yard stripped out and totally neglected. Here's another nice convertible wasting away in the woods waiting for someone to fix her up. 1971 was the first year of the really big Mustangs and many don't really see these cars as being on the same level as the early Mustangs. The Ford marketing team and dealerships did a lot in the 60's with regional promotional Specials. The 1968 Gold Nugget Special was one of those. It was an appearance package only. This Boss 302 has seen some better days.

In it's glory days this desirable Boss 302 was Bright Yellow and sported a black interior, shaker hood scoop and 3.91 rear gears. Then mother nature got to her and now just check out that rust!
